We have to test our drives to check if can read the PS3 games, and then put the brand and the model name in this thread, so everyone will know what drives to buy if they want to play it with RPCS3. Those brands like Lite-On, LG, Samsung, ASUS, Plexor, MSI could work specially the BD-RE drives.
If you are talking about drive for PC use and RPCS3, then yes there are a few drive that can read PS3 games, and a quick Google search will reveal that. Pretty sure RPCS3 has them listed in their documentation.
I did check the official website, where the team list all supported external drives for the dumping. However, because there are a lot of brands and models. I'm debating getting a Blu-Ray drive for PS3 games, and I've largely settled on the BH16NS55 and the BW-16D1HT PRO. Is the PRO variant incompatible with PS3 games? If not, which drive should I pick for emulation? Thanks!

2 sty 2013 · Maybe check out libbdplus and see how that can be made to work. I personally don't have any computers with a blu-ray drive, only standalone players connected to my TV's, including my PS3, PS4, and 2 other blu-ray players. Shspvr, blu-ray movies can often be 25 to 50 GB in size.
