21 mar 2024 · Prickly pear cocktails bring a fresh twist to the bar scene, blending the unique sweetness and tang of the desert fruit with spirits for a memorable drink. The pinkish-red hue of prickly pears, harvested from cacti, not only adds vibrant color but also imparts a distinctive flavor.
Ingredients. 25 Ripe Prickley pears. 1 liter Vodka. 250 ml Sugar syrup. Instructions. Sterilize a large 2 liter jar with a clip down lid. Take care to peel all of the ficatini and place them into a large bowl. Mash with either a fork or wear a pair of latex gloves like I did and massage the pulp, break it up for a minute or so.
Add Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear Liqueur and mezcal, shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a jalapeño slice.

In a Collins glass add ice, Thatcher’s Organic Prickly Pear, Coppercraft Gin, lemon juice, and butterfly pea simple syrup. Top with Champagne and lightly stir. Garnish with a lemon peel and Maraschino cherry.
