In 2019, the Mystics moved across the Anacostia River to Southeast DC and the Entertainment & Sports Arena. Located on the grounds of St. Elizabeth's a former state mental hospital, the ESA is a much smaller arena, seating only 4,200, and was seen as more conducive to the crowds the Mystics were drawing at the time.
