You can scan a WhatsApp QR code to add someone’s contact information to WhatsApp. Scan a WhatsApp QR code. Scan in person. Tap > Settings. Tap the QR Code displayed next to your name. Tap Scan code. Hold your device over the other person's QR code to scan. Tap Add to contacts. Scan with your camera in WhatsApp. Tap Camera.

Open WhatsApp Web or Desktop on the device you want to link. You’ll see a QR code to be scanned by your primary phone.
The QR code contains encrypted information that pairs your phone with your computer. Scanning it signs you into WhatsApp Web with your existing WhatsApp account on your phone. Once linked, you can access your WhatsApp chats and messages directly from your computer’s browser.
