Other channel configurations, such as 2.1 and 5.1, have a different number of channels for main speakers and/or do not have overhead sound effects channels.
20 lip 2018 · You'd need at least a 5.1.2 setup with that AV receiver for it to even acknowledge the Atmos metadata. There's technically no such thing as a 3.1,2 Atmos setup, not without using Dolby Virtual Height and or surround processing and the X3400 has neither.

If you get a 3.1 system, you should choose 5.1 signal. Your receiver will downmix the signal - essentially, the signals for the front 3 and sub will be sent appropriately, and the receiver will distribute (or not) the surround signal as appropriate.
