10 paź 2012 · This graphic shows a model of the layers of the Sun, with approximate mileage ranges for each layer: for the inner layers, the mileage is from the sun’s core; for the outer layers, the mileage is from the sun’s surface. The inner layers are the Core, Radiative Zone and Convection Zone.
3 lut 2024 · The four layers of the Sun are the core, radiative zone, convective zone, and atmosphere. The Sun is a colossal nuclear reactor at the heart of our solar system. Our favorite star is about 109 times the diameter of Earth and over 330,000 times its mass.
2 lut 2023 · The sun has seven different layers, which are further divided into three inner and four outer layers. The names of these layers, in order of their presence from the core of the sun are as follows: Inner Layers. 1) Core. 2) Radiative Zone. 3) Convection Zone. Outer Layers. 1) Photosphere. 2) Chromosphere. 3) Transition Region. 4) Corona
23 sty 2013 · The Radiative Zone – Energy moves slowly outward, taking more than 170,000 years to radiate through this layer of the Sun. The Convection Zone – Energy continues to move toward the surface through convection currents of the heated and cooled gas.
The Radiative zone: The transport of energy from the Sun’s core (where it is produced) to the regions that surround it can be done by transferring it by radiation. This is how it travels from the center of the Sun to the outer regions, hence the name “radiative zone”.
The Sun’s outer gases extend far beyond the photosphere (Figure 15.7). Because they are transparent to most visible radiation and emit only a small amount of light, these outer layers are difficult to observe. The region of the Sun’s atmosphere that lies immediately above the photosphere is called the chromosphere.
The layers of the Sun are divided into two larger groups, the outer and the inner layers. The outer layers are the Corona, the Transition Region, the Chromosphere, and the Photosphere, while the inner layers are the Core, the Radiative Zone, and the Convection Zone.
