The total electric portion of my bill was 173.90. The Retail Energy Rider was 98.68. Energy Rider was over 56% of my bill. This is crazy! Has anyone been able to sign up for another energy company and had much lower rider on their bill?
Retail energy rider is Duke’s cost of supply. If you look to the right where it says “cost to compare” they give you the per kWh cost you can compare to other suppliers. Other suppliers can be half the cost of Duke. But regardless you are using 3 times as much as we are.
