Project-based Learning (PBL) for language classrooms involves learners working in fixed groups for a planned period to research a phenomenon or study a problem, and produce a ‘product’ in the target language (e.g. English) as evidence of their enquiry.
The following 10 examples of project-based learning can be adapted to any classroom, for any grade level, and to fit specific curriculum and individual student needs. As you examine these examples, notice where you see evidence of the criteria for high-quality PBL.
