Pressure of a liquid: The pressure at a point inside a liquid is defined as the normal force exerted by the liquid on a unit area surrounding the point. Sometimes, liquid pressure is also called hydrostatic pressure, if the liquid is at rest and no pressure is developed due to its motion.
