1. [deleted] • 8 yr. ago. Having done the leader in me program, the school I did it at was not certified as a leader in me. The kids had trouble with the language but liked the lessons. If the program is implemented fully, I can see how it can be positive but so can any program when there is positivity and common language across the school.
I just went through an intensive 2 day long PD of Leader in Me, and man was it PAINFUL. Lots of talking in the abstract, fanciful world of ideals and what seems to be 1990’s pop psychology. No studies or research cited whatsoever. The videos were corny and sometimes even cult-like.
