26 wrz 2022 · Arizona lawmakers have addressed distracted driving with a new statewide law against cell phone use behind the wheel. Prohibiting cell phone use while driving tackles the most common cause of distracted driving accidents.
(a) Means a cellular telephone, a portable telephone, a text-messaging device, a personal digital assistant, a stand-alone computer, a global positioning system receiver or a substantially similar portable wireless device that is used to initiate or receive communication, information or data.

Arizona's distracted driving laws prohibit motorists with instruction permits to use a wireless communication device for any purpose while driving. In other words, these motorists aren't allowed to use a cell phone or other wireless device to text message or talk while operating a vehicle.
14 paź 2020 · Moreover, cell phone use while driving is also prohibited amongst new Graduated License (Class G) holders. Under this law, Class G drivers who are between 16 and 18 years of age cannot use a wireless communication device while operating a motor vehicle during the first six months of issuance.
Educational Efforts. In preparation for the law to take effect, the Arizona Department of Safety threw itself into educating drivers on the dangers of using a cellphone on the road, as well as what will and will not be permitted by the new law.
