The anointing can only be passed to faithful sons: Elisha couldn’t pass his anointing to his servant Gehazi and he was buried with the fire still in his bones. In 2 Kings 13:20,21, we read how when the dead man touched his bones he came alive.

The apostles complain at the expense, but Jesus praises what the woman did as preparation for his burial.

The Cyrus anointing gives you the power to exercise Rulership over the nations. (Read Isa.45:1-7 in the Living Bible.) The whole issue of the Cyrus-anointing is to penetrate impenetrable territories.
This is the heart of Second Isaiah’s message of deliverance from bondage: God chooses Cyrus, a foreign ruler, to set God’s people free. The surprise of God’s choice is emphasized by the strong terms used by God to identify Cyrus: “shepherd” (44:28) and “anointed” (45:1).
