What is cloud computing? Cloud computing is the use of comprehensive digital capabilities delivered via the internet for organizations to operate, innovate, and serve customers. It eliminates the need for organizations to host digital applications on their own servers.
The broad adoption of the NIST definition for cloud computing allows cloud service providers and consumers alike to establish an initial set of expectations about management, security, and interoperability, as well as determine the value derived from use of cloud technology.
