My boy started to get diarrhea last Monday. He vomited once on Tuesday but since then just awful diarrhea. I live in a flat so in the middle of the night I guess he was getting stuck so he was eliminating on my patio once or twice (which he never does otherwise). He did have two accidents in the house as well.
I know that canned pumpkin (not pie filling) does wonders for chronic diarrhea in dogs. You might try a tablespoon of pumpkin mixed with rice and a little bit of chicken. The problem with the proteins is they are harder to digest and they’re harder on his intestines.

Withhold food 24 hrs. Boil rice and water, drain the water and allow to cool, give the rice water to the dog. Gradually add soaked kibble to the dog's diet over the next 2 days. Add pumpkin puree and plain yogurt in small amounts.
