It’s difficult to build a discovery system for 5 years out. Break it up into pieces. Find similar users, which can be nuanced. Then, find every game/experience that is similar. Then, the activity of friends.
Experiences (also known by their previous name, games) are items that house and link places together. Each experience has a "start place," the place where users visit first as other places of the experience cannot be directly visited.
11 paź 2023 · The word “game” has been replaced by “experience” across nearly the entire Roblox website, and the iOS and Android apps now have a Discover tab instead of a Games tab — although both apps are currently classed as games in their respective stores.
Apple didn’t want people to make platforms to play games and monetize that without giving a cut to them. So Roblox changed the term “Games” to “Experiences” to get around it and somehow it fucking worked 🤡
