Objective: We present and analyze a series of women who attempted to reverse the effects of mifepristone by taking supplemental progesterone to determine if the reversal of the effects mifepristone with progesterone is possible and safe.
We conducted two systematic searches: one for studies of abortion reversal with progesterone (main search), and another for studies documenting ongoing pregnancy rates after mifepristone alone (secondary search). We performed the searches in December 2021, then again in December 2022.
