1 wrz 2024 · Here’s a real piece of history, and one that’s still perfectly functional and plays / sounds great. This is a 1931 Martin C-2 archtop, with the following specs: - 000-sized Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. - Carved spruce top.

Martin also produced one C-2 12-String (1932, f-hole configuration), and two C-2P plectrum models (1931). The C-2 has features that are similar to Martin's Style 28 appointments. Unlock full access to Blue Book
This remarkable instrument is one of only 104 round hole C-2 archtops from the first model year, and must certainly be among the finest of surviving examples today. The gently arched back and sides are constructed of exceptionally attractive bookmatched quartersawn Brazilian rosewood, of a hue and grain structure virtually unobtainable today.
