The best thing to do is go to rtings.com and search the model number. They explicitly state which soundbars support the various forms of 4K passthrough. Look for the LG SP8YA (it’s a model from their 2021 lineup, so not old stuff), I got it for 399€. Rtings says it’s more or less on par with the much more expensive Samsung Q800A.
Should I leave the Audio Setting on Passthrough on My Samsung 65inch 4K Ultra HD QLED TV which is connected directly to My Samsung Soundbar which has Dolby/Atmos/DTS/Q-Symphony/True Surround Sound via HDMI Cable to the e-Arc port on both the TV & Soundbar?
Many pre-ATMOs discs use DTS as their premium sound option, so it is best to connect the BluRay player directly to the soundbar via HDMI and “pass through” the video to the TV using eARC so that the DTS soundtrack plays with no negative impact to 4K picture quality.

7 cze 2018 · the only device I connect differently is my Panasonic ub820 4K Blu-ray player. This supports all the hdr formats and atmos etc. But it has 2 hdmi outputs, so I can connect one to the tv to handle video, and one to the soundbar to handle audio.
