Fraction symbols copy and paste text characters, Simply click on any fraction symbol to copy it to the clipboard and use anywhere you want.
Many fonts do contain characters for 1/3, 2/3, 1/8, 3/8, 5/8, and 7/8 in the Number Forms character subset. You can insert these via the Symbol dialog, which also permits you to assign a keyboard shortcut, or you may choose to create formatted AutoCorrect entries to convert 1/3 (and the others) to the built-up fraction characters.

Go to Insert > Symbol. Pick a symbol, or choose More Symbols. Scroll up or down to find the symbol you want to insert. Different font sets often have different symbols in them and the most commonly used symbols are in the Segoe UI Symbol font set.
23 wrz 2016 · Some fractions (1/4, 1/2, and 3/4) automatically switch to a fraction character when you type them (¼, ½, ¾). But others do not (1/3, 2/3, 1/5, etc.). To switch to a fraction character, click Insert > Symbols > More Symbols.
Fractions as single characters. Common fractions are available as single characters or symbols in the Unicode character system. You can see them at Insert | Symbol in Office apps. Some fraction symbols can be found under the Number Forms subset but not all of them, see the table below.
