Definitions of Rights: There are many definitions of rights and for our purpose some are stated. One such definition is rights are legal or moral recognition of choices or interests to which particular weight is attached.
‘obligations’, in the political community mean? • Is democracy the best means by which such desirable goals can be achieved? Indeed, what is meant by democracy? • How ‘democratic’ are Western democracies? • Can politics have a moral basis, or is it merely the pursuit of power?
