Statement Regarding "Primary Source" Data The California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) has an intradepartmental contract with the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) to provide license verification on the DCA License Search website and the actual operation thereof.
Nurses can verify their licenses by completing the Nursys verification process for $30 per license type, per each board of nursing where the nurse is applying. The nurse’s license verification is available immediately to the endorsing board of nursing.
You can check the status of your application by logging into your Nurse Portal and clicking View Status for the application under Submitted License Applications.
