5 maj 2021 · The 2020 session saw several bills that were strides toward reform and with the past year attracting much attention to the injustices in our legal systems and the need for reform, the 2021 session should have been a great opportunity to continue to work toward a fairer criminal justice system.
9 kwi 2021 · West Virginia’s 412-page criminal code re-write gets referred to the newly established Sentencing Commission by the Senate after passing out of the House of Delegates. The Sentencing Commission was established in 2020 “to promote a fuller understanding” of West Virginia’s “criminal justice sentencing system.”.
