The WTAMU Virgil Henson Activities Center is open for band campers. This includes a new walking track, a bowling alley, racquetball courts, and basketball. In addition, the following special events are planned:
The WTAMU Band Camp has been held annually for over 70 years on the campus of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, located in the Texas panhandle just south of Amarillo. This year, we are including string students in order to also have an orchestra experience.
9 sie 2022 · The WT Band Camp is the single largest recruiting event at WTAMU. Not only for the School of Music, but the entire university. The WT Band Program receives 80% of its students from the band camp.

Band & Orchestra Camp Ball The annual Band & Orchestra Camp Ball will be Friday, July 12th in Legacy Hall from 8:00 to 10:30 pm. This is a "dress-up affair" (Sunday dress to semi-formal) with Mr & Miss Band & Orchestra Camp being crowned that night.
