The trail runs from the Killarney Station trailhead on SR50 west of Oakland, through Winter Garden and to Apopka, ending at Welch Road. A spur at Killarney Station connects to the South Lake Trail - both trails are part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail .
Traveling from Winter Garden, the West Orange Trail extends northeast to Apopka and west to Clermont. One of the most unique parts of the trail is that goes literally right down the middle of the Main Street of Winter Garden with all the Reataurents, shops, bike stores (Winter Garden Wheel Works is the best in the state), coffee shops, ice cream stores, etc.on either side of the brick paved streets.
The West Orange Trail stretches for 22 miles, and you can base your trip at one of four trailheads: Killarney Station in Oakland; Apopka Station in Apopka; Chapin Station at Crown Point Cross Road in Winter Garden; or in the heart of town at the closest point, the Winter Garden Station on Plant Street.
The West Orange trail is a fully paved trail that connects with the South Lake Trail at Kilarney trailhead station on the west end, five miles west of Winter Garden. The South Lake provides some rolling hills that ends at Lake Minneola.
