Along with the food obtained through the Food Bank, food is also donated through food drives hosted by civic groups, religious organizations, individuals, businesses and other organizations. Funding for the program comes through donations.

Want to Drop Off Food? Stop by our San Diego Food Bank’s warehouse in Miramar or our North County Food Bank chapter’s warehouse in Vista to donate. We also have a long list of public donation drop off sites that may be closer to your area.
Many food banks provide free baskets or boxes with food to make your own Thanksgiving meal. These boxes can include protein like turkey and sides like cranberries, gravy, and vegetables. You may need to pick up your box at a drive-thru pantry or schedule a contactless pickup.
The San Diego Rescue Mission, in partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, provides food items at no cost to nearly 50 nonprofit organizations who operate hunger relief programs within San Diego County. Each of these partners have been accepted to the Food Bank’s Food to Nonprofits Program.
