My personal beef with lycanthropy in 5e is not the fact that it is too easy to get, but too easy to have (as in not very punishing) and too easy to get rid of. These flaws’ function is to flesh out the lycanthropic condition in all aspects.

I have a PC playing a chaotic good elf wizard in Curse of Strahd and they just uncovered the keepers of the feather and built an alliance with the wereravens. This player is trying to convince one of the wereravens to willingly attack him in raven form so he can become a wereraven.

By looking at the stats of the wereraven from CoS and you being a ranger, it seems straightforwart: Your highest stat should be dexterity. But you can talk with the dm, if in your case, that only is based on the wereraven-part of you or not.

Player as a wereraven. 5th Edition. I am a player who's family is wereravens and got the curse passed on as a part of a coming to age ceremony ( around level 5). What stats should I be using for my mental stats in raven form. My DM is having me use the raven stat block but that doesn't seem right.
