Basically, a "friend" messaged me, telling me to vote for his csgo team, then sent me a link. Except, the link was not a https link(just http) and that it was something like we-play.tv instead of the authentic weplay.tv . Knowing it was a scam, I called him out for it and he immediately blocked me.
I've heard about this scam quite a few times before so I didn't fall for it and just messaged my friend through Discord, to confirm that his account was compromised.
That being said, all the links lead to PHP pages. The real WePlay website (https://weplay.tv) is not written in PHP. The sign in page is where you can definitively tell it's a scam because you can't create an account via email.
