Weller 12-Year, the bottle I’ll be looking at today, first hit the market in 2001 as a $20 bottle. A wheated bourbon with an undisclosed mash bill, it’s produced at the ever-popular Buffalo Trace distillery and is bottled at 45% ABV.
It's worth the MSRP pricing, not secondary pricing. Definitely more solid than the special reserve. I like the full proof but I personally would choose the 12 over those 3 as its a little more polite on the palate than the full proof and a bit more complex than the special reserve.
Weller 12 Year Old, 90 proof, Buffalo Trace wheated mashbill, MSRP is 40 bucks, but you’re more likely to see this on secondary or behind the counter at 200-plus. This is a 2021 bottling. I paid 100 dollars for mine.
