The back of the card has information on how to claim the money. There are two ways to do so: -Leave 5-star reviews on what was purchased then send a screenshot of that to an email on the back of the card. -Scan a QR code that is on the back of the card, using the Amazon app.
Amazon etc. could easily end this whole scam by introducing a server-side PIN code on these cards when they're activated. When you put money on them, the till asks for a 4-6 digit number. When you try to redeem it, the system asks for that code, and without it you can't redeem it.
