Franconia Notch is a spectacular mountain pass traversed by a unique parkway which extends from the Flume Gorge at the south to Echo Lake at the north. For eight miles, I-93 winds between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges.

Franconia Notch’s Flume Gorge takes visitors past cascading waterfalls, across historic covered bridges, and amidst New Hampshire’s pristine forest. Its famed section of narrow boardwalks dive into a long granite gorge complete with mossy 90 foot walls and rushing falls.
This path travels north-south through Franconia Notch with views of Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake, and Profile Lake along the way. Accessibility: This trail is paved, typically at least five feet wide, and mostly flat with some steep sections with an estimated max grade of 7%.
