27 paź 2015 · I just dug out some old wax resist that is dried up. Is there any way to revive it? I reconstituted old Forbes wax resist: a little hot water. Broke up the globs and chunks. 30 seconds in the microwave, stick blender til smooth.
10 lip 2019 · Pros: Wax was easy to brush, dip, pour, spray, pipe (had to use tiny tips on a squeeze bottle to avoid too much wax running), easy to wipe off the pot, resisted glazes beautifully, and is easy to spot. We added food coloring to our wax resist to create a more noticeable mark on all clay bodies.

31 sty 2020 · Wax resist is a great tool for a ceramics studio. It takes some clean up, should be used only as needed, and my recommendation is to use a premium wax resist such as the Amaco green wax resist. To apply, try using chip brushes or other simple, cheap brushes.

It can be somewhat hard to see when applied, so it's a good idea to add food coloring to it. However, it's not so good for applying over some glazes - it can peel away and leave a ragged edge.
