20 paź 2022 · Water spinach is a semi-aquatic high-As-accumulation leafy vegetable that can be planted under both upland and flooding soils. Previous studies have demonstrated that the concentration of As in plant tissues is governed by water regimes (Huang et al., 2006; Liao et al., 2021; Qin et al., 2021).

20 paź 2024 · The results showed that the organic fertilizer significantly increased the soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and organic matter (OM). Furthermore, it led to a reduction in the soil DTPA–Cd and DTPA–Pb levels by 3.3–20.6% and 22.4–47.3%, respectively, whereas the DTPA–As levels increased by 0.07–7.7 times.
Key parameters evaluated include plant height, leaf number, chlorophyll content, and overall biomass production. The results indicate that specific application rates of biochar and organic fertilizer significantly enhance both the growth and nutritional quality of water spinach.
1 sie 2017 · Abstract. It is critical to identify effective buffer chemicals which are capable of regulating the pH of nutrient solution to a desirable level for best hydroponic production of crops.
5 sie 2021 · The results for the EDI of inorganic As indicate that water spinach planted in As-contaminated soils with flooding treatments pose inorganic As exposure risk higher as compared with water spinach planted with upland treatments.
4 lis 2022 · The results showed that hydrochar with 2.0 wt% significantly (p < 0.05) improved the biomass yield of water spinach, receiving 120–160 kg N/ha by 11.6–14.2%, compared with no change in the hydrochar treatment.
