Great places to see fantastic views of the sea and San Diego skyline. $20 parking. Parking plentiful. You can walk up the old lighthouse. Very interesting. New light house is not accessible. There are tide pools near the new lighthouse but we didn’t see any sea life there. Can spend upto 2 hours here.
High atop a hill overlooking the San Diego Bay you can see everything. It’s no wonder that this spot was chosen to build Point Loma Light House. The Old Point Loma Light was one of the original eight West Coast lighthouses, built in 1855 in the Cape Cod style that was used for all of them.
