Some WYJ carburetors have as an option a purge system, This purge system allows the customer to purge the metering system of air and replace it with fuel for easier starting. By depressing the purge bulb 4-5 times, air is forced through the umbrella check valve.

The WY has been calibrated and the idle needle preadjusted by WALBRO prior to shipping to our customer. If the idle is in need of adjustment, the following instructions should be adhered to. Special Note: Only adjustments to the outer idle limiter and idle adjustment screw are to be made.
