I give advice on clippers a lot. I use the Oster 76, corded. It’s the fastest feed, and everything on them can be replaced except for the exterior housing. My first pair I bought 38 years ago and still run well, my second pair are 25 years old and also run well.

I have had the Wahl km cordless for about 6 months. I bought a pair from my sharpener and it just doesn't really cut thru dirty or thick hair. So I told my sharpener and he sent them back to Wahl and there was something wrong with them internally but they've had my clippers for 2 months and still haven't gotten back.

The wahl km 10 (corded) is a great option. If you're only doing your dog i don't see why you'd need to splurge for cordless. As for length, most clippers come with a 10. From there you need to decide what length you want and buy that blade/clip on attachment. I personally think Wahl combs are the best, use a 30 or 10 underneath.
Attachment stuck on the trimmer If your attachments are stuck on the trimmer it just means you had put them on wrong and should take them off and put them on the right way. They are fairly durable so don’t worry about breaking them, if you do then just purchase a new set.
