2 mar 2013 · This standardization can allow you to keep your powder measure loaded with the same powder, make bulk powder purchases more equitable, and generally make your life easier. One great example for pistol loaders is Winchester W231 and Hodgdon HP-38 (the same powder branded differently).
6 cze 2013 · w231 works well in all my 6" revolvers with the 158gr lead bullets of all types..... in these long barrel 4.7grs with a cci500 primer gives me a solid 890fps and poa with tight groups. It did not work out to well in my snub M49 with the 158 Lswc
10 maj 2009 · Anyone have old loading manuals, powder company phamplets, etc that show data for a 147 grain JHP or FMJ bullet in 9 mm with WW231? ( or HP38 as it's same)...
15 wrz 2017 · Go to the Hodgdon powder website for a complete list of powder and bullet weight for using Win 231 and loads for the 357 magnum. 11 wrz 2010 · I use 3.8 gr W231 with MG 147 gr, and 3.6 gr W231 with Zero 147 grain bullets - the 3.8 gr/MG chrono'd out at 132 (900 fps) at Area 8 a few weeks ago, and the 3.6 gr W231 with the Zero 147 is about the same
20 lip 2014 · Using Lyman 49, I loaded up a small batch of 45's using min load of 5.4gns of Win231 with OAL of 1.235. From my Colt Commander it was a little snappier than I was looking for. Plenty accurate, but I'm looking for a "powder puff" target load...hence my use of the starting charge.
