2 mar 2013 · I use a Dillon powder measure for progressive loading and a Lee Perfect Powder Measure for manual drop loads. I use a Hornady Lock & Load (digital) bench scale and a Lee beam scale. I have found both scales to be accurate and reliable to within 1/10 of a grain as advertised.

3 cze 2017 · The reloading data for W231 is not likely to be aggressive lol. You didn't mention your COL but you can certainly go to 5.3gr regardless. Your SD ammo can be approximated using other powders. Check powder mfg web sites for info. Make sure your barrel length matches the test data before setting your expectations too high.
15 wrz 2012 · anyone have re-loading data for Winchester 231 powder using l24gr JHP/FMJ with Win small pistol primers, re-used brass... for shooting in G19 Glock ? my Lyman manual does not state any data for the forementioned..
27 gru 2010 · With a Hornady 230gr FMJ i use 5.5gr of w231, cci primer, 1.255", Cycles well, good accuracy, medium power load. With Powerbond plated 230gr i use 5.3gr of w231, cci primer, 1.245". Softer load, cycles well and gives good accuracy, great range load for practice.
6 cze 2013 · The W-W 14th Ed. reloading manual provides the following data for W-231 in 38 Special: 158 gr. Lead SWC 4.0 gr. W-231 = 745 fps = 12600 psi 4.5 gr. W-231 = 830 fps = 15800 psi 4.7 gr. W-231 = 860 fps = 17100 psi (38Sp +P load)
