15 kwi 2015 · I am toying with the idea of a remap, but struggling to come up with any real evidence of what the safe remap level is for this engine (if indeed it's safe to remap at all). Does the 1.6 share the same clutch and turbo components as any of the higher output 2.0 engines?
5 lut 2016 · A remap is good but I would really advise you to remap the DSG for even sharper gear changes, the pedal box for the ultimate response n you'll have a 1.6 that keeps up with so many other pretty powerful cars.

31 lip 2013 · My current model is the 90bhp version. Ive been in contact with several tuning companies and from what I can tell the results are around 130 / 140bhp, which sounds a bit dangerously high for a 1.6 engine. Can anyone with a similar engine model share there experience?

18 paź 2018 · GTD1449VZ is the best bet for quick response supporting 190 HP. BV43D is big, comparable to a GTD17xx. That said, a GTD1752VRK with ball bearings would be alright also; you can gain a bit of transient response by getting the BMW electronic vane actuator (apparently 300 Hz PWM) to work with the N75 signals instead of converting to vacuum actuation.
22 wrz 2023 · Remaps are always great for turbo diesels. You will see a significant increase in torque and HP, even from a little 1.6. All I would say is, use the power wisely. If you want to accelerate fast, do it in 3rd/4th gear, don't rev too high in lower gears. Clutch will be the main issue here, considering the vehicle is getting on.
