17 lut 2021 · Vuescan is vastly superior for reasons the reviewer does not emphasize. Its cost is reasonable for what you get for the pro version--lifetime and frequent updates, great support, works with virtually every scanner there is, works well.
Vuescan is excellent, professional level scanning software, compatible with almost every scanner. Learn it once, use it with any scanner!
VueScan Professional is available for $89/99 for a life-time license, which can be used on up to 4 computers, this makes it great value for money. A cheaper version is available from $39/49 but does not support film/slide scanning.
Considering its price, the professional version is the way to go. Support is excellent although it's rarely needed. The product is updated often to accommodate any MAC and Windows version changes and new scanners as they come onto the market.
