So I'm looking at starting to own digital movie/TV content and I've narrowed down my choices to VUDU and Apple TV so I can focus on building the collection in one place (yes, I know that Movies Anywhere can share access to some flicks between the two).
I bought my first Apple TV 4K yesterday and am wondering which streaming app offers the best image quality/highest bit-rates when it comes to digital 4K Dolby Vision movies- iTunes, MA or Vudu?...recently Movies Anywhere added Dolby Vision support to a bunch of titles...so if a movie is available in 4K DV on all 3 platforms which is the best ...
30 lis 2022 · 1) Movies Anywhere is reputed to have the best image quality except for Apple - but Apple is said to be better only through Apple's own hardware. 2) Movies Anywhere is the most likely to have the extra features, and, like VUDU, lets you choose which one to watch, unlike Prime Video, which rolls all of them up into one film.

9 sty 2020 · As of late 2020, the Apple TV app on LG TVs had an average bitrate of ~11-17 Mbps for 4K content as opposed to 15-31 Mbps on Apple TV hardware. It still looks pretty good on 3rd party hardware, but Apple TV hardware will look better for your iTunes library.
It wasn’t hard to find a streaming device with vudu on it. Almost any TV/ Blu-ray player with wifi had a vudu app on it or available to download and offered HD movies. Disc to Digital launched the same month as Apple TV finally decided their users could handle 1080p.
12 lut 2008 · AppleTV took between 1 and 2 minutes before I could watch the movie. Vudu was instant of course. AppleTV downloads around 6 Mb/sec on my connection give or take a bit. I am using the component output on the AppleTV and HDMI on the Vudu. To me, the AppleTV image is not as crisp or sharp or bright as the same image on the Vudu.
