Access Virginia Tech Gmail services with a simple click to find what you need.
Many people use gmail as their mail client to access VT mail, but activating Google Apps for VT mail causes this to stop working. And, believe it or not, Google does not offer a Gmail to Google Apps migration tool. You have to use the IMAP capabilities of the Exchange server migration tool.
(For detailed instructions, see Configuring a Client (such as Outlook) to Access VT Google Apps Mail.) In your client settings, use a username of VTUsername@vt.edu and the 16-character password that was displayed.
Gmail and other Google Workspace applications are accessed through Virginia Tech's Login service, enabling you to access them with your Virginia Tech username and passphrase and your 2-factor authentication.
Access. VT email and calendar can be accessed on the web at outlook.office.com or by downloading the Outlook desktop application. The Microsoft 365 services listed above can be accessed or downloaded at my.office365.vt.edu. The Google Workspace services listed above can be accessed at www.google.com.
29 sty 2018 · On Jan. 29, Virginia Tech’s G Suite for Education applications, which include Mail, Drive, Docs, and others moved into a system that no longer requires a separate password, but instead is accessed using your VT username (PID) and passphrase, the same way that Canvas, OneCampus, HokieSPA, and many other online services are accessed.
