The Permit Center is responsible for receiving and processing of residential and commercial applications, verification of documents received and issuing permits for a variety of construction activities that require a permit.

The owner builder must personally appear in the permit office to make applications and sign the permit documents. For county water and sewer services, please call 386-943-7027. For wells, septic systems and irrigation permitting go to the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County website.

View the Building Forms and Fees. The Building Division processes all building permits for projects located within the city limits of DeLand. If the project is located in unincorporated Volusia County, the permit will need to be obtained from the Building Department of Volusia County.
