28 mar 2011 · I've been on Actosplus from diagnosis(2007) until last November. My Dr. changed me to straight Metformin during a checkup. In october, I found myself itching quite a bit. During my November checkup, I mentioned that and got some antihistamines. The itching got worse and a rash and lesions appeared. The Dr thought Scabies, so I got treated.

Leukocytoclastic vasculitis and psoriasiform drug eruption are the two most common presentations of metformin allergy.[7–9] In quoted reports,[7–9] the patients usually develop a rash within a few days of metformin administration and the skin lesions disappear after stopping the drug.
