Start button, then Windows Security. Click the little red shutdown icon, and you'll see the "Restart" option. You use the Windows Security option for XP and Vista also. The restart option is deliberately removed from the normal location to prevent accidents.
7 sie 2011 · using RealVNC and sending ctrl-Alt-Del may solve the issue if you can connect remotely (this is possible even if the PC is frozen - RealVNC can comment on this) using another remote PC on the same location and using RDP or pstools to reboot the remote PC.
22 wrz 2015 · Using Remote Desktop the remote screen turns black right after login and you have no control. The issue appears to be caused by Screen Caching and accessing a system with different display resolution or RDP window sizes.
19 cze 2007 · I cannot force Vista on my home machine to restart from a remote RDP session. I've checked to make sure Administrators have remote shutdown privilege but there's no option to restart or shutdown available either from the start menu or from Taskmanager. How can I fix this??? Since Remote Desktop was working before, this is probably not your problem, but I have seen video drivers cause Remote Desktop to fail. If you have updated your video drivers lately, you might try doing it again to a newer version if one exists, or downgrading.
