My Sony VAIO came with Vista Home Premium loaded and is now stuck in an endless reboot mode. When I power up the system it begins with a Windows icon, followed by the VAIO logo and then jumps immediately to "Configuring Updates Stage 3 of 3."
So I tried to reboot, and everything went fine until it got to the Vista splash screen, where it's supposed to display the logon. Here, it hits an endless loop: Display "Please wait..." for about half a second.
