It could be something as simple as a stuck reset switch or something shorting in the front panel. Try unplugging all jumpers from the motherboard except the power switch. Share

For the past day I've been stuck in an infinite loop of Preparing Automatic Repair, I can't get to troubleshoot options/safe mode (restarting three times and f8 repeatedly do nothing), all scans that I can perform without the OS actually on say everything is fine, and I can't do anything with BIOS.
So I tried to reboot, and everything went fine until it got to the Vista splash screen, where it's supposed to display the logon. Here, it hits an endless loop: Display "Please wait..." for about half a second.
24 sie 2008 · Vista Restart Loop Hi all, I've been getting some troubles with my Vista computer booting up. Whenever I restart it (or even turn it off and then back on without leaving it for a long while), it will crash during the loading screen, and then restart, and then crash, creating an endless loop unless I boot up in Safe Mode.
10 lip 2010 · Download the ISO file at the supplied link, and make a Bootable Startup Repair Disk from it. Go into your Bios/Setup, or Boot Menu, at startup, and change the Boot Order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the Boot Order, then reboot with the disk in the Drive.
