Viseu Cathedral is the Catholic bishopric seat of the city of Viseu, in Portugal. The church started being built in the 12th century and is the most important historical monument of the town. It is currently a mix of architectural styles, specially from the Manueline, Renaissance and Mannerist periods.

The cathedral of the city is simply called Sé — in Portuguese, this word means simply “cathedral". The patron saint of Viseu is the first Portuguese Saint Festonius, who was born in these places. Built in the 12th century on the site of an older church, it was subsequently rebuilt several times.
St. Mary of the Assumption is its patron saint. With large towers that give it the look of a fortified church set on a promontory, the magnificence of this cathedral is a focal point of the city, even from a distance. It is also one of its oldest buildings.
