Search for an inmate's location and release date if they are incarcerated and under the custody of the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC). Inmates who are not under VADOC custody will not appear in the search results.
Virginia Victim Information and Notification Everyday is an automated service that allows people affected by crime to locate an offender in jail, and receive notifications about any changes in custody status. This free, anonymous service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by phone, internet or mobile app.
The VINE service provides information by phone, email, TTY, and text message where available. You may also sign up through your participating state, or county’s toll-free number. See how the power of VINE can work for you!
Victims must register with the VADOC Victim Services Unit for notifications. Once registered, you will receive automated phone, text, email, TTY, and/or letter notifications from the Notification and Assistance for Victim Inclusion (NAAVI) system about an inmate while they are in state custody.
This service is provided to assist Victims of Crime who have a right to know about their offender’s custody status. Through a recent enhancement, VINELink, the online version of VINE, will receive offender photos through an agency’s booking system and display them on the Web interface.
The VA VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender’s custody status changes.
