I'm of the opinion that aftermarket alarm systems are not worth it at all to begin with. I have personally removed one Viper setup (in my 1998 Impreza) and had a mechanic remove another Viper (in my 2000 Tahoe) that was randomly chirping for no reason.
11 cze 2018 · The Viper 5706V is an excellent car alarm with the best two-way pager available, and the remote-start system is a great convenience feature, but the high price is a concern, especially when you can get equally effective car alarms with remote start systems for $100 less.
Viper and car alarms are absolutely still a thing. It's just they're not $200 any more nor can be done by anyone at any time. Find a local specialist. We exist. Many of us have switched over to Compustar/iDatalink. Expect to pay between $400-$1000, depending on model and features. Expect to leave your car for half or a full day.
