Vine Cliff's 100-acre Estate, along the Silverado Trail, is home to the winery's winemaking facilities, beautiful gardens and guest center. 21 acres of vineyards, dominated by cabernet sauvignon grape for which the Oakville appellation is renowned.
Vine Cliff is a smaller winery with beautiful grounds and a solid selection of wines. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and warm. He kicked us off with a taste of Chardonnay, which we happily sipped on while touring the grounds.
The room has a large, heavy wooden table for tasting and evaluating the wines. Vine Cliff winery focuses on producing Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate vineyards in Oakville; Chardonnay from vineyards in the Carneros District; and Merlot from other vineyards in the Napa Valley.
